We work hard to provide a high quality, sustainable and portable spica chair at an affordable price

We understand the stress and the cost of ensuring your child’s spica journey goes as smoothly as possible. That’s why we’ve said no to making Erin’s Chairs for excessive profit and yes to practical and realistic pricing of the chair. Alongside this, we do our best to source sustainable materials and we are on a mission to make our whole process as sustainable as we can.

We started Erin’s Chair due to there being a lack of affordable spica chairs available, causing many families to go without during such a stressful time. There weren’t any chairs out there that could be collapsed and rebuilt as quickly as ours or were as easy to travel with, so we were encouraged to bring a manufactured version to market. It’s an added bonus that Erin’s Chair is also aesthetically pleasing.

Our Company

Ian’s wealth of joinery experience led him to being able to help when our friend’s told us about their daughter, Erin, who was soon to be in a spica cast. Erin’s Chair exists because Ian hand made that original chair to help them. With no way of using a conventional chair to play safely, he engineered a simple collapsible design by hand and so brought Erin’s Chair into the world! We realised the importance of our innovation pretty quickly and have since been striving to help as many families as we can.

There have been many ups and downs on our journey; nights with little sleep, risks taken, miles travelled, struggles and successes but with the support of many amazing people along the way, we have been given the confidence to persevere with our main goal of reaching as many families as possible that need our spica chair.

Our Team

As a dedicated team of two, we have built the Erin’s Chair brand using sheer determination, passion, and genuine altruism. We pride ourselves on our desire to help as many spica families as possible as well as our values in sustainability. When we aren’t working you will likely find us in the great outdoors enjoying nature and an active lifestyle on mountain bikes, snowboards, surfboards and paddleboards with our four legged part time customer liaison officer, Blue (he’s a short haired collie!).

We also owe a debt of gratitude to these organisations, please look them up, read their blogs, buy their products and services; we might not have got this far without some of them!
